J & Z Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1986 and today enjoys a growing reputation for excellence in the design of federal buildings and commercial projects.

J & Z Engineering, Inc. and its staff have extensive experience conducting surveys of existing conditions at government facilities in the National Capital Region. These surveys have been the basis for preparing design analysis, energy studies, investigations, programming documents, engineering reports, cost analysis, and other documentation for presentation to authorities, boards and committees.

J & Z Engineering, Inc.’s group experience also encompasses the complete range of design and construction services, from design concepts to construction management. J & Z Engineering, Inc. produces technically correct and well coordinated construction documents using state of the art CADD and information systems. Cost control and value engineering are performed by specialists actively involved in construction management. J & Z Engineering, Inc. designers stay involved in projects throughout the construction phase, have a well developed understanding of construction practices and the ability to solve problems in the field.

J & Z Engineering, Inc. will provide overall program management, as well as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering (HVAC, plumbing, lighting, power distribution, telecommunication, fire alarm, security systems etc.) energy studies etc. Jeelani Gulam, P.E. will act as Program Manager and take the lead for mechanical and electrical engineering field. He will be supported by J & Z Engineering, Inc. mechanical, and electrical departments, as part of a design firm composed of electrical engineers have developed the capability to lead as well as coordinate with multi-disciplined design teams. Each of J & Z Engineering, Inc.'s engineers have extensive knowledge and experience in his specialty and all have relevant design experience involving projects for various federal, State and Counties agencies.

Key engineers assigned to the contract have past experience on government projects and are familiar with State of Maryland standards and practices.

J & Z Engineering, Inc. will commit the human resources and corporate capabilities needed to achieve success for each assigned project under this contract. The contract will be administered by J & Z Engineering, Inc.'s office in Greenbelt, MD.

In order to meet the goals and expectations of the State of Maryland, J & Z Engineering, Inc. and its consultants have assigned their most experienced engineers and specialists to provide services to design the projects that will be assigned through this contract.
